Short audio podcasts about the library

We have put together some short audio clips in mp3 format as a basic introduction to the services provided by the Library and Learning Services. We have tried to answer some of the questions which our new users ask. Some topics include borrowing, getting help and assistance and using electronic resources. More information can be found at:

Semester A outstanding library fines reminder

All outstanding library fines must be cleared in full by the end of the semester. If you do not clear your fines your account will be blocked from Friday 8th February and you will not be able to borrow or renew library items until you have done so. Fines update

For your own peace of mind, we encourage you to clear your fines as soon as possible. At the end of each semester, you will need to pay up completely in order to continue borrowing in the new semester.

Fines are charged for the late return of all short loan items (50p per hour, or part of), 1 week loans (20p per day, or part of), 4 week loans (5p per day, or part of) and laptop/equipment loans (£25 for the first day and £5 for each subsequent day).

Please note it is not possible to pay library fines of under £100 with your Progress card.
